Rates Single Instalment
Traditionally, rates would be due in 4 approximately equal instalments in the months of September, December, March, and June of each financial year in accordance with the Local Government Act 1999.
However, ratepayers may apply to pay their rates, levies and service charges in full by the 2nd quarter due date; such applications must be lodged with Council prior to the 1st quarter due date of each financial year; if rates in these circumstances are paid in full by 2nd quarter due date, fines and interest will not be applied for the 1st quarter to 2nd quarter period.
Please note that any application for Single instalment will only apply to the listed financial year. If you have applied for rates Single Instalment in the 25-26 financial year, you will be required to reapply for the following financial year should you wish to continue the application.
