I am the owner and previous manager and chef for 6 years of the Port Kenny Hotel. My partner of 11 years, Bearin, managed the bar. Before that I spent 2 years doing commercial fishing with him in Venus Bay. I was President of the Kenny Venus Progress Assoc. and am currently President of the PK Hall Committee. I was a school principal for 20 years (retired) across all years of schooling, have worked in District Education Offices and served as a JP for 22 years (retired). I believe strongly in acting caringly, equitably, transparently and democratically. I have reported directly to Govt Ministers and Directors, had broad committee experience and consulted, planned and achieved outcomes with many small communities. I worked in regional SA from Mt Gambier to Ceduna and Adelaide, and have lived in the country for most of my life. I am now self-employed, managing my property portfolio with a business partner. Passions are dog training and trialling, gardening, the arts and camping.
