Internal Review of Council Decisions
The District Council of Elliston and its delegates make decisions every day which impact on members of the community. It is imperative that these decisions are fair, objective and subject to review.
Council's Internal Review of a Council Decision: Policy and Procedure document addresses the manner in which requests for a review of a previous decision of Council will be dealt, and provides a consistent and structured process for any party dissatisfied with a decision which has been made by Council or its agents.
Council has a three tiered process for managing complaints set out in Council's Complaints Policy(77 kb).
If this process is not able to address the complaint to the customer's satisfaction, the customer may escalate the matter further and seek an internal review of the decision by the CEO or the Elected Body (depending on the nature of the complaint).
