Shopfront Improvement Program Grant
The District Council of Elliston's Shopfront Improvement Program aims to enhance the appearance of local businesses and improve the overall presentation of towns and streetscapes throughout the district.
The program provides financial assistance to eligible businesses to undertake improvements to their building façades, helping to create attractive, welcoming commercial areas and encourage ongoing investment in our local communities.
Funding Available
Council offers dollar-for-dollar (1:1) grant funding of up to $3,000 (excluding GST) to eligible businesses undertaking approved shopfront improvements.
This means Council will match the applicant's financial contribution towards eligible works, up to a maximum Council contribution of $3,000 (excluding GST).
Who Can Apply?
The program is open to businesses located within the District Council of Elliston that have street frontage.
Eligible Improvements
Funding may be available for a range of improvements that enhance the external appearance of commercial premises, including:
- Painting and improvements to building façades
- Repairs and maintenance to shopfronts
- Upgrades to signage
- Improvements to awnings and verandahs
- Other external improvements that contribute to the appearance of local streetscapes
All proposed works must meet the eligibility requirements outlined in the Shopfront Improvement Program Guidelines.
How to Apply
Businesses interested in applying are encouraged to review the program guidelines and complete the Shopfront Improvement Program Application Form.
Applicants are required to submit their completed application along with all relevant supporting documentation for Council's consideration.
It is recommended that applicants contact Council before commencing any works to determine whether Development Approval may be required.
