Make a difference for regional first homebuyers 
The District Council of Elliston has joined The City of Victor Harbor and other regional councils from across South Australia to call for stamp duty relief.
We’re encouraging community members to sign a community petition calling on the South Australian Government to waive stamp duty for first homebuyers purchasing an existing home in regional SA (up to the first $750,000)..
The petition, initially kick-started by City of Victor Harbor , will be presented to the State Government in May 2026.
