2027 Citizen of the Year Awards – Nominations Now Open
The 2027 Citizen of the Year Awards are now open, and the District Council of Elliston is encouraging community members to nominate the individuals, groups, events and businesses that make a positive difference across our district.
The Citizen of the Year Awards provide an opportunity to recognise those who contribute their time, skills and energy to strengthening their local community. Contributions may be made across areas such as volunteering, sport, arts, education, health, fundraising, charitable services, business, the environment and other activities that support community wellbeing.
Whether someone has dedicated years to supporting their community or has made an outstanding contribution over the past year, a nomination is a meaningful way to acknowledge their efforts.
2027 Award Categories
Nominations are invited across the following categories:
- Citizen of the Year
- Young Citizen of the Year
- Community Event of the Year
- Award for Active Citizenship
- Business of the Year
New for 2027 – Business of the Year
This year, the District Council of Elliston is pleased to include Business of the Year as a new category for our community.
The award provides an opportunity to recognise a local business that makes a positive contribution to our district. This could be through supporting local initiatives and community groups, providing valued services or employment, contributing to the local economy, or simply going above and beyond for the community.
If you know a local business deserving of recognition, we encourage you to nominate them alongside the many individuals, groups and events that help make our district a great place to live.
